2014 - Yes Please
I'm not sure why I selected both Bossypants and Yes Please. I love both women behind the books, but reading this one so soon after Bossypants wasn't a great choice because they are so similar. (My review of Bossypants is here.) Yes Please was funny and empowering, but I found myself skipping passages and even pages (gasp!) to just get through it. I don't think that's a knock on the book itself, but more on me for choosing to read it at the wrong time, especially since I don't read much memoir.
If you are into memoir by awesome women celebrities, consider:
1. The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher
2. Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling
3. This Time Together by Carol Burnett
